If you are looking for gambling help

Please do not wait for a reply from an inbox. Free, confidential support is available now, in most countries around the clock, and the services are staffed by people trained for exactly this. The numbers and links are on the responsible gambling page.

What to write about

  • Corrections. Send the page and what is wrong. If you have a regulator, rulebook or academic source, include it and the fix will be quicker. Corrections are handled under the editorial policy.
  • Missing terms. Jargon you met and could not find an honest explanation of. These shape what gets written next.
  • Quoting and licensing. Short quotations with a link need no permission, under the terms of use. Anything larger, or any republication, ask first.
  • Press and research. Journalists, researchers and educators are welcome to get in touch.
  • Privacy requests. Access, correction or erasure requests are covered by the privacy policy and go to the same address.

What this site cannot help with

Wagering Terms is a glossary. It is not a gambling operator, so it has no access to any account, balance, bet, bonus or withdrawal anywhere. If you have a dispute with a gambling company:

  1. Raise a formal complaint with the operator and keep it in writing.
  2. If that fails, escalate to the alternative dispute resolution provider named in their terms — a licensed operator must offer one free of charge.
  3. If it is a licensing matter, report it to the regulator named on their site, such as the Gambling Commission in Great Britain or the relevant state gaming board in the United States.

Requests that will not get a reply: offers to buy links or placements, requests to add affiliate or operator links, guest post pitches, and anything asking for a tip, a prediction or a system. The reasons are in the editorial policy.

Response times

This is a one-person publication, so replies take a few days rather than a few minutes. Corrections are read first and fixed before they are answered.
