Terms of use
The terms on which this glossary is published: what you may do with it, and what it does not promise.

1. These terms
Wagering Terms ("the site") is published by Abhinav Vasudevan ("we", "us"). By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it. They should be read alongside the disclaimer, the privacy policy and the cookie policy, which form part of them.
2. What the site is
The site is an educational glossary of gambling terminology. It offers no gambling facilities, holds no player accounts, takes no money and recommends no operator. It provides general information only, not betting, financial, legal or tax advice, and it is not a substitute for the terms and conditions of any operator or for the law of your own jurisdiction. The limits of what the content claims are set out in the disclaimer.
3. Eligibility
The site is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. Gambling itself may require you to be 21 or older, or may be prohibited entirely, depending on where you are; checking and following the law that applies to you is your responsibility, not ours.
4. Permitted use
You may:
- read, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use;
- quote a short extract — up to roughly 100 words, or one definition — in an article, paper, forum post or presentation, provided you attribute it to Wagering Terms and link to the page you took it from;
- link to any page here, including deep links, without asking permission.
You may not, without written permission:
- republish, syndicate or mirror substantial parts of the glossary, in any medium;
- copy the content in bulk, including by automated scraping, to build or train a competing product, dataset or model;
- sell, sublicense or commercially exploit the content;
- remove or obscure attribution, or present the content as your own;
- frame pages in a way that suggests an endorsement or association that does not exist;
- interfere with the site's operation or security, or place an unreasonable load on it.
Permission for anything larger is usually granted and free — just ask at hey@organicgrowth.company.
5. Intellectual property
The text, structure, code and design of the site are ours and are protected by copyright. Trade marks, operator names and regulator names mentioned in definitions belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively, for identification and explanation only. Their use here implies no affiliation with, endorsement by or approval from any of them.
6. Accuracy and availability
Content is prepared with care under the editorial policy, but it is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it is complete, current or free from error, and gambling rules change without notice. We may change, move or remove any page, and we do not guarantee that the site will be available uninterrupted.
7. Third-party links
The site links to regulators, safer gambling organisations, academic work and official rules. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Once you leave this site, their terms and privacy notices apply.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content. This expressly includes gambling losses, financial loss, loss of profit, lost data and any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top of the page shows when it last changed materially. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the site, are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
