75-Ball Bingo

75-ball bingo is the American standard, played on a 5x5 grid with a free centre square. Games are won by completing a designated pattern rather than a full card.

90-Ball Bingo

90-ball bingo is the traditional British format, played on tickets of three rows and nine columns containing 15 numbers. Each game has three prizes: one line, two lines and a full house.

Bingo

Bingo is a game where players mark numbers on tickets as they are drawn, winning by completing a set pattern. Prizes come from the pooled ticket money after the operator's cut, so your odds depend entirely on how many tickets are in play.

Bingo Pattern

A bingo pattern is the specific arrangement of marked squares required to win a 75-ball game. The pattern is announced before play and varies between games within a session.

Bingo Ticket

A bingo ticket is the card of numbers you play with. Buying more tickets increases your share of the prize pool proportionally but does not improve the value of the bet.

Blackout (Coverall)

A blackout requires marking every number on a 75-ball bingo card. It is the hardest pattern and carries the largest prize, usually with a jackpot attached for completing it within a set number of calls.

Chat Moderator (CM)

A chat moderator hosts an online bingo room, running chat games, welcoming players and enforcing conduct rules. They are the main reason online bingo retains players better than most gambling products.

Dauber

A dauber is the ink marker used to blot numbers on a paper bingo ticket. Online play replaces it with auto-daub, which marks numbers automatically and removes the tracking element entirely.

Full House

A full house is marking every number on a bingo ticket, the top prize in 90-ball bingo. It typically takes between 55 and 75 calls and accounts for most of the prize pool.

Progressive Bingo Jackpot

A progressive bingo jackpot pays for completing a full house or blackout within a limited number of calls. The call threshold usually rises each day it goes unwon, which makes the jackpot genuinely better value over time.

Common questions

How are bingo odds calculated?

Entirely by how many tickets are in the room. Holding 10 tickets against 100 gives a 10% chance; against 10,000 it gives 0.1%. The prize scales with the field, so expected value stays the same.

Does buying more bingo tickets help?

It raises your share of the pool proportionally, not the value per ticket. What changes is variance. The exception is a guaranteed prize pool larger than ticket sales, where the overlay genuinely improves returns.
